I remember my first desires to bake; I was young, very young. I had received a set of Sesame Street books. They were a set of 4, but my favorite was definitely the one that featured Cookie Monster's Famous Cookie Recipe.
My sister and I would make these cookies, over and over and over. We weren't allowed to turn on the oven until Mom got home, but we were always ready. We would keep the dough stored in the refrigerator (what we didn't eat raw of course), and we would bake a few cookies off at a time.
It didn't take me long to start experimenting by adding other ingredients, nuts, spices, candies, and various chocolate chips.
And from there a Sugar Monster was born. Who knew I'd be destined to create cookies and desserts for life?
