In this 2 part journey, we capture the wild yeasts of Central Arkansas (or where ever you might call home), to begin a week's worth of wild fermentation that ends in bread baking jubilation for many, many weekends to follow!
Part 1: 7/7/2020 This brief, 30 minute class will cover the benefits of wild yeast over cultivated yeasts, the ingredients needed, how to prepare and care for your starter for it's first couple of days of existence, and we will measure and mix the ingredients to create our very own jar culture in class.
Part 2: A follow up on maintaining your starter, what to do with the discard, and how to pump up the volume just before baking day, beginning live on 7/9/20 at 6pm.
