PRODUCT RETURN and REFUND POLICY:

Return Policy: We cannot accept exchanges or refunds for edible or food products, unless an obvious manufacturer defect is present.

Returns for supplies and tools shipped will be accepted within 30 days of purchase, if the item is in its original packaging. Packaging must be in excellent condition and product unused.

A customer-paid return shipping label can be created for you or you can ship it manually through a carrier of your choice at the lowest rate available.  Purchaser accepts responsibility of return shipping costs, unless you have received incorrect merchandise due to our error.  We do not pay return shipping costs, unless the wrong merchandise was shipped to you.

A copy of the original receipt or order number must be included on returned packages to ensure that we are able to credit the correct account.

SPECIAL ORDERS - All sales are FINAL:

If we order something for you from a manufacturer or distributor, we require pre-payment in full prior to that order being processed.  Once the order has been processed, no refunds or exchanges will be accepted.   

ITEMS DAMAGED IN TRANSIT:

Art Is In Cakes is not liable for damages that occur during shipping, BUT we CAN help you.
If boxes are noticeably damaged, we recommend requesting a note in the shipping carrier records immediately.
Requesting claims for damaged or missing packages through UPS, USPS, and other carriers can be a lengthy and frustrating process.  We understand that.  We cover 99% of our shipments with Shipsurance, a much faster and hassle free option for recovering costs associated with mis-delivered or damaged packages.  As a courtesy, we handle the claim for you and once approved, we process the refund to you.  We take the hassle out of shipping claims.  This coverage does not cover delayed packages.  Packages sent to the wrong address will require more time to investigate and require first going through the carrier to request a trace/tracking information.  To begin a claim for damaged packages, we will need clear photos of the outside of the shipping box, inside of shipping box plus all packing materials enclosed, any damage to the box of the interior products, plus clear images of actual damage to the product inside.


DELAYED SHIPPING:

Requests for refunds in shipping or product due to delayed shipping cannot be honored.  UPS and USPS have both canceled their shipping guarantees due to the unprecedented demand in their services during pandemic conditions, and USPS has recently announced intentional delays and increased fees.  Once your order is given to the shipping carrier, it is no longer in our ability to change, re-route, or cancel your orders.  We WILL NOT be held liable for shipping delays.

USPS PARCEL SELECT GROUND IS RESERVED FOR AEROSOLS AND COMBUSTIBLES:

USPS Parcel Select Ground should not be selected at checkout unless you have purchased aerosol canned baking items or food coloring or butane culinary torch refills.  USPS Parcel Select Ground is the slowest, though cheapest, method of delivery. It requires packages to pass truck to truck (never by air), which means your package is handled more often and moves much slower.  For this reason, we do not ship aerosols beyond the contiguous 48 states within the USA.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING, DUTIES AND VAT FEES:

Currently, we do not add or process any Customs, Duty, or VAT Fees that might apply to International Shipping.  Your international shipments could be stopped at the border for valuation checks that may result in delivery delays and/or additional Duty/Customs/Tax/ and VAT assessments, depending on your location.  For additional fees required to import to your country, customers will be charged upon delivery of the goods by the carrier.  Art Is In Cakes is not responsible for payment or remittance of those fees.
